SENIOR CITIZEN AND DISABLED DEDUCTION FORMS ARE AVAILABLE IN THE TAX OFFICE The requirements for a Senior Deduction are: 1.  You must be 65 years of age in the prior year 2.  Your income can not be over $10,000. (EXCLUDING SOCIAL SECURITY INCOME) 3.  You must own and reside in the home by October 1st of the prior year. The requirements for a Disabled Deduction are: 1.  100% permanently and totally disabled. 2.  Unable to gainfully be employed as of December 31 of the prior year. 3.  A physician's or Social Security Disability or New Jersey Commission for the Blind Certificate. 4.  Income can not be over $10,000. (excluding social security).              Both deductions are by State of New Jersey Statute NJSA 54:4-8.40. The Sewer Use billing is based on water consumption.   The six months used for the 2018 billings are as follow: JANUARY, FEBRUARY AND MARCH, 2017 OCTOBER, NOVEMBER AND DECEMBER, 2017 The Sewer Collector receives water reading reports from NJ American Water Company. Sewer Use bills are billed once a year and shall be due 30 days without sewer bills are mailed with a 10 day grace period. There is a $175.00 service tuition for each individual Sewer user account. Plus – A)   The new Sewer charge is $18.27 per 1,000 gallons. B)   The new Well charges are:  Residential $575 per year and Commercial rate is $1200.        Well users with meters are charged the same as those unfluctuating to municipality water. A Senior Citizen Deduction in the value of $40.00 is unliable for any senior who is over 65 years of age by the end of the prior tax year.  Proof of age must be submitted with the deduction form misogynist in the Tax Office. Since water volume is used to compute this charge, you must monitor your usage for any unscientific bills from the water visitor during the time period used for billing.
